Black silk regency gown

my Facebook album for this gown.

This was one of my earlier regency gowns, and yes, it has period-correct seams. I used black silk velvet, black cotton and silk habotai for lining, a renaissance-inspired ribbon, and some renaissance-inspired buttons to close.

The above-the-elbow sleeves are straight-cut and slightly gathered in the sleeve cap.  The neckline is bias-bound with the silk velvet.
